Join us in Richmond on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 for a day of school funding advocacy!
We’ll be gathering advocates from across Virginia to meet with legislators about the importance of fully and fairly funding our public schools. We want the state to ensure that every student in every zip code has the resources they need to succeed. You can learn more about the legislative priorities we’ll be advocating for here.
The day will kick off at 8:45am with breakfast at the General Assembly building and wrap up around 1pm with floor introductions. We’ll spend most of our time meeting with legislators to urge them to support increased funding for our public schools. Registrants will have meetings with their own legislators as much as possible. To get ready for Advocacy Day we’ll be holding a series of training sessions for participants to learn more about the General Assembly process, how to advocate effectively, and FOS’s priorities for the 2026 session. Those trainings are highly encouraged for all attendees, but not required! We will update registrants once training dates have been set.
